Nestled at the foot of scenic Mount Battie, Swan House Bed & Breakfast has welcomed visitors to Camden since 1983. Built in 1870 by the Swans, and for many years their family home, this charming Victorian bed and breakfast inn offers a private haven off the beaten path in a lovely, quiet setting.
Swan House is a small, intimate inn, furnished with antiques and a warm, friendly atmosphere.
The six guest rooms, with private baths, are comfortably yet tastefully decorated. Guest rooms are located in the Main House and in the Carriage House, and each is whimsically named for a different type of swan.
A short walk down the hill from Swan House leads right to the heart of Camden, one of Maine's loveliest coastal villages. Few places can rival the beauty or the wealth of summer activities of this town, home to the Windjammer fleet, the Camden Civic Theatre, the Camden Opera House, unique shops and galleries, and many excellent restaurants.
In the morning, guests gather in the airy sun porch to enjoy a generous country breakfast of fresh fruit, breads and muffins, along with a hearty breakfast entree. Relax in our comfortable parlors or discover the shaded gazebo - the perfect place to converse, catch up on a favorite book, or plan your stay in Camden.

MAIN HOUSE
Leda - This cozy room is located on the first floor of the main house. It has a double antique iron bed and a private bath with a clawfoot tub and shower. Enjoy the luxury of soaking in a tub full of bubbles up to your chin after a busy day of sightseeing! $95.00 - $120.00 per night.
Whistler - The Victorian era is captured in the Whistler Room with it's burgundy and forest green rose print wallpaper. This beautifully appointed room located on the first floor of the main house has a queen size canopy bed, antique furnishings, and a private bath. $120.00 - $145.00 per night.
CARRIAGE HOUSE
Black Swan- Located in the carriage house, this pretty room has a queen sleigh bed, a private bath, and a private entrance. $120.00 - $145.00 per night.
Lohengrin Suite - Located on the first floor of the carriage house, the Lohengrin Suite is a delightful, "L" shaped room. The comfortable sitting room with a couch, wicker furnishings, a mini-fridge, and views of the forest, is just the beginning as you enter this room. Around the corner is an inviting bed chamber with a queen antique bed and a private bath. $135.00 - $160.00 per night.
Trumpeter - Tucked away in the back of the carriage house, this bright and airy, very private room has a queen four-poster bed, a private bath, a private deck overlooking the forest, plenty of windows to let the fresh mountain air in, and vaulted ceilings with skylights. A beauty! $135.00 - $160.00 per night.
Swan Lake Loft - Located in the carriage house, this spacious room is the most rustic of all the rooms. Knotty pine walls are decorated with wreaths, baskets, quilts, and artifacts. Large skylights offer clear views of the stars at night. This popular room has two queen beds, private bath, a mini-fridge, and a sitting area with wicker furnishings. $160.00 - $185.00 per night.
Please note: This room will accommodate a maximum of three (3) guests. There is an additional $30 charge per night for the third guest.
