Your hostess, Karen Talley Wild, is a local watercolorist. Her delightful pieces are available for sale and make perfect gifts for loved ones or special keepsakes of your stay. Many of the antiques in the guest rooms are also for sale as a special rememberance at a nominal charge.
The guest quarters contain all the modern conveniences while reflecting a simpler time of leisure, lavender, and lace.
We offer two graciously appointed rooms - On the second floor are "Scottie & Zelda's" room with private bathroom, queen bed, television, and air conditioning and "Dorothy Parker's" room with full-size bed and television.
Each room is a mini antique shop and art store with pottery, fine art, books and decorative embellishments collected from you host's European travels for sale at nominal prices, as well as your host's own framed watercolor renderings. Both of which make lovely gifts for friends and family you might be visiting.
We offer overnight accommodations with only morning coffee and tea served.
"We stayed at Talley's Corner for our first anniversary in October.
We loved the house and the hospitality. The decor was lovely and the bed
was extremely comfortable and cozy. In the morning, we were treated to a wonderful candlelight breakfast. We recommend it highly for a great weekend getaway."
-- The Fungs
"What a great time we had in your B&B! It fit our needs perfectly. Your home is beautiful and your antique collections add to the ambiance of being in a quaint New England home. We especially liked the outdoor gardens with the arbor, swing, and flowers. Your efforts of providing a variety of breakfast foods did not go unnoticed. Thanks for having a bottomless coffee pot!"

Below are excerpts from a poem written by a guest after a recent visit:
"ONE MORE DAY" by Barry Maron, M.D.
A glimpse of homes alive and tall;
Streets are so calm and still,
The giant trees will enthrall;
Upon entry to Whitinsville.
Direct our view to water scene;
A lake alone with walking path,
Strain your eyes, try to glean
For Linden Street and do the math.
Half up the hill; on the right
In majesty, it beckons you.
Sculptured Inn, a warming sight
A palace of which there are too few.
Climb a few outside stair,
Ed and Karen's smiles embrace;
Once inside do we dare,
Isolate away the outside space?
Gathered in as family we
Now rejoice and join our hands,
In mixed moods we feel free.
Walls papered in dainty strands.
Decor modes clearly unfold
Furnishings in ideal taste,
Labors of love fondly told.
A 'flowing busy' with no waste.
Climb the stairs, see the rooms,
Frills and colors of an era,
At each sight focus zooms.
Retrospection is much clearer.
Comfort sleep is assured.
We are steeped in history.
Restful dreams can't be demurred.
Thoughts of old reality.
Breakfast within fellowship,
Prepared with culinary art.
One last time before our trip,
Need more days before we part.
A walk around reflection pond,
Future has no certainty.
A scenic beacon just beyond,
Return trips there will surely be.
Over 80 years ago, this Georgian Period treasure was built on Linden Street in Whitinsville, Massachusetts and to this day it is reminiscent of the "High Style" architecture of it's era. The winding staircase, marbled fireplace, built-in china cupboards and bookcases, crystal chandelier, and tranquil solarium provide inspiration for the weary traveler and an escape from the outside world.
The home has been recommended for listing in the National Register of Historic Homes.
